Nashua Drug Deal Gone Bad

If you Google the definition of “illegal drug trade,” most searches will define it as a “global black market which is dedicated to the cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and sale of drugs that are subject to drug prohibition laws.” If you delve deeper into this subject, you’ll discover that the impact of illegal trade on our society is destructive. In fact, in many countries worldwide, it is believed to be directly linked to violent crimes such as murder.

During the late 1990s, the Federal Bureau of Investigation estimated that 5% of murders in the United States were drug-related. Aside from murder, other crimes may also transpire as a result of illegal drugs. One example recently occurred in Nashua, where a Massachusetts man was shot during a drug transaction involving multiple pounds of marijuana and nearly $15,000 in cash.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Danny Vorn was shot on January 9th. His drug transaction went wrong when two other people involved allegedly robbed him at gunpoint. During the course of the robbery, the firearm was discharged and Vorn was shot in the back of the head. 20-year-old Alexandre and 20-year-old Anthony Farmer were allegedly responsible for the incident. Both of them were arrested on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Farmer was charged with a felony count of armed robbery while Amado has been charged with one count of second-degree assault for the shooting, a felony, and was being held on $100,000 cash bail. Vorn remains hospitalized in critical condition at Boston Medical Center.

Even with the criminal circumstances, in this case, the victim may still be entitled to compensation under the law. Every case is different. Contact Tenn And Tenn, P.A. today for a free consultation and we’ll advise you of your legal rights and options.
